I Guess I Pretended to Know More Than I Did.

Working with AI, I realized something.

If you don't know, ask.

Sounds obvious.

But it mattered more than I expected.

Building a website, unfamiliar things kept coming up.

Does copyright even cover something I made?

How would anyone know the site was mine?

Can you actually sell a website?

How do I get paid?

How much would taxes be?

Once I got going, I hit AI with question after question.

"Hang on. What's that?"

AI explained.

Still didn't get it.

"I don't understand. Explain it more simply."

Still didn't get it.

"Explain it so even a kid could understand."

"Give me an example."

At some point, it hit me.

Oh.

I guess there had been plenty of times when I didn't really understand something but pretended I did.

Now I had AI.

With AI, I didn't need to do that.

I could ask the same thing two or three times.

I could ask for a simpler explanation.

And if I still didn't get it, I could just ask again.

"I still don't get it. Explain it again, simpler."
