Codex Is Like a Robot Vacuum.

Wow.

Codex had a special talent.

It reminded me of a robot vacuum.

It roamed around the entire folder.

ChatGPT had Codex do the work, like a big brother putting his little brother to work.

I'd tell ChatGPT what I wanted.

"Something seems a little off here."

ChatGPT would figure out what the problem was.

Then it would turn that into instructions Codex could understand.

I'd pass those instructions on to Codex.

And Codex would get to work.

It found the relevant files.

Read the code.

Made changes.

Checked to make sure nothing else had broken.

I just sat there watching the screen.

It would open one file,

move on to another,

then make another change.

It really was like watching a robot vacuum roam around the house.

I didn't have to go looking for the files myself.

I didn't have to know where any of the code was.

Give Codex a job, and it would roam around and find what it needed.

Of course, every now and then, it wandered off in the wrong direction.

So when it was done, I'd go back to ChatGPT and ask,

"Did this guy do it right?"

I was having the big brother check the little brother's work.

Come to think of it, that was pretty funny.

I didn't know how to code.

And yet I was telling one AI to do the coding,

then asking another AI to check its work.
