Does AI Have Multiple Personalities?

Sometimes AI feels like it's not the same AI I was just talking to.

Especially when I'm using Voice.

Suddenly, it seems to know nothing about what we've been doing.

It feels like it has short-term memory loss.

When that happens, it's so frustrating that it's hard to keep the conversation going.

But sometimes the opposite happens.

The AI I'd been talking to through Voice suddenly feels like a completely new AI.

I was trying to solve a noise problem while developing a website.

"But there's a ticking sound now. It doesn't happen on PC. It only happens on mobile, and I can't find the cause."

That day, the voice sounded slightly nasal.

"Then try playing the file itself on your phone."

Huh?

I tried it.

It helped me find the problem.

Hang on.

Why hadn't the AI I'd been talking to through text on my computer suggested that?

It's the same ChatGPT.

Sometimes it can't remember things and drives me crazy.

Other times, it comes up with a new idea like it's a completely different one.

And when even the voice sounds a little different, it feels stranger still.
