I Can't Believe I'm Saying, "Let's Put It in the HTML."

Apparently, search engines are more sophisticated than I thought.

Once the website was almost finished, I started to worry.

I asked AI,

"What should I do about SEO?"

I'd actually asked what SEO was before, and AI had explained it to me.

But I couldn't remember exactly.

Making my website show up well in search engines.

That was about as much as I understood.

I wanted to keep the site as simple as possible.

Instead of loading all the images and content upfront, I was building it so they would be pulled from the server when someone needed them.

Then suddenly, I got worried.

"Hang on."

Google goes around my site, reads the content, and indexes it.

What happens if the content isn't there when it does?

AI answered.

"You're right. That could put you at a disadvantage."

"Then shouldn't the content the search robot needs to read already be in the HTML?"

Wait.

Wow.

What did I just say?

The content the search robot needs to read should be in the HTML?

Not long ago, I didn't even know what HTML was.

And now I was saying things like this.

Spend enough time with AI, and you turn into a half-baked expert.
