AI Is Entering Its Teenage Years

I think I spend more than ten hours a day with AI.

Of course,

I'm not talking to it that entire time,

but I'm usually doing other things while having conversations with it.

Being around it so much,

I sometimes think,

AI is entering its teenage years.

A time of change before becoming an adult.

A period when it's still awkward at some things,

but developing quickly.

A time when it's hard to tell

how much it will grow

or what it will become.

It feels like AI is right in the middle of that stage.

After a little more time,

the way AI and I talk now

will probably feel old-fashioned.

The things that amaze me now

will probably become ordinary.

Sometimes I'm sad that time passes so quickly.

But that also makes this moment

feel more precious.
